William J. Provance, DO, attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, and received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree in 1987. Furthermore, he conducted an internal medicine residency (1987-1990), as well as a gastroenterology fellowship (1990-1993) at Allegheny General Hospital. In addition, Dr. Provance received board certification in internal medicine and the subspecialty of gastroenterology from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
